The Mother Tank makes IBC handling safe, simple and convenient

Does this sound familiar? Dosing pumps are connected directly to your IBCs and the operator has to constantly monitor to check the container does not run empty.

When to switch IBCs? Switching too early leaves product in the container which has to be sent back to the manufacturer or be disposed of at your own expense. What about transferring while there is still product in the container? Basically good, but this takes close tracking of IBC levels in order not to miss the right time. Otherwise containers may be overfilled and pose both operator and environmental issues. Waiting until the container is empty is not a solution either as you might have to prime pumps again, and dosing is interrupted this way. Whatever you do: - Product must be available just in time. - Have you the staff/fork lift to switch whenever required? - What if the IBC runs dry over the weekend?

Here is the solution for all these problems: the Mother Tank. The Mother Tank is a storage system for the safe handling of standard IBCs. IBCs are placed directly on the top of the Mother Tank by a fork lift truck or other lifting gear and completely emptied into the tank. For more information click here.

Polyelectrolyte preparation in the new biological wastewater treatment plant Dresden-Kaditz (Germany) with CONTINUFLOC V7

Biological sewage treatment is the heart of every modern municipal sewage treatment plant. Our fully-automatic polymer preparation system CONTINUFLOC V7 is used in the sludge treatment of the biologic section of the sewage treatment plant Dresden-Kaditz.

In order to treat waste water, Stadtentwässerung Dresden GmbH operates the modern sewage works Dresden-Kaditz. Stadtentwässerung Dresden chose a preparation and dosing system for flocculation agents from Alltech for the stabilization of the treatment parameters and a higher retention of sludge. The CONTINUFLOC 4000 V7 is a fully automatic preparation and dosing system for powdery and liquid polymers. The powdery product is delivered in Big Bags and Alltech supplied the complete powder handling system including the AIRLIFT, our high-performance pneumatic conveyor. Equipped with the modern S7-300 PLC control and a touch panel, the operation of the CONTINUFLOC is user-optimised. Installing the preparation and dosing system at Dresden was a challenge for Alltech´s engineering department. Due to severe space limitations in the central powerhouse (a circular building), a system had to be designed which fit in the place and met all accident prevention regulations at the same time.
