Happy Birthday Alltech!
We thank all customers and partners for their loyalty in the past and we trust in good and successful cooperation in the future.
- For 25 years Alltech has been specialising in the production of preparation systems for dissolving and diluting powders and granules as well as diluting concentrated liquids.
- Since 1983 Alltech has been manufacturing piston diaphragm dosing pumps for liquid chemicals. Today, the production of dosing pumps is one of Alltech´s core competences.
- As early as 1993 Alltech started to produce process and storage tanks made of PE100, PVC, PPH and PVDF with state-of-the-art technology and up to a capacity of 35 m³.
- Besides preparation systems, piston-diaphragm-dosing pumps and process and storage tanks, Alltech’s product range covers dosing and storage stations, mixers, chlorine gas dosing systems, chlorine dioxide preparation systems from development to manufacture and maintenance.

Maadi-Project/Egypt
Alltech Dosing Systems in Water Preparation
Maadi gained its reputation for being Egypt’s enviable green suburb, located on the Nile a few kilometers south of Cairo. Maadi used to be an important crossing point for caravan routes coming from Arabia on their way to the Nile's west bank at Giza where several important towns were located and from where the long trek to Upper Egypt began. Today the city´s location on the bank of the Nile is important for supplying its 2 million habitants with drinking water. New Alltech dosing systems are now in use to transform Nile water into drinking water.

For this project Alltech supplied chlorine gas dosing systems type VACUTROL and six dosing pumps of the first FKMF series. Each of these dosing pumps has a capacity of 2400 l/h (max.). The pumps with suction and discharge pulsation dampers and pressure valves were completely assembled on a bracket in our factory in Germany. This way it was very easy for the assembly staff on location to bring the system into service.
In the drinking water treatment plant at Maadi, the dosing pumps are used for the dosing of aluminium sulphate. Raw water, coming directly from the Nile, is pre-treated (flocculation).
The prepared solution is unloaded from concreted batching tanks and aluminium sulphate is dosed directly in the supply. The regulation of the dosing capacity is carried out by a frequency converter, directly mounted on the motor, in the range of 2-100 Hz. For the pre-chlorination two vacuum safety dosing systems VACUTROL (one “in operation”, one “stand-by”) are used. Each of these systems has a capacity of 120 kg/Cl2/h (max.). For the post-chlorination six automatic VACUTROL systems (four “in operation”, two “stand-by”) are available. Each of these systems has a capacity of 25 kg Cl2/h. The required capacity of 220 kg Cl2/h (max.) is provided by two compact safety dosing systems (one “in operation”, one “stand-by”).
The high quality of the drinking water results from the automatic post-chlorination by control and regulating station DOSITROL and from fine filtration. High reliability in the water preparation is achieved through air control and safety devices.
Every day 400,000 m³ of drinking water are prepared in Maadi with Alltech dosing systems.
