Paper production

At the end of the year 2007 the owners of Swedish Tissue AB in Kisa decided to re-invest in the tissue production. Alltech accepted the bid for the chemical storage and dosing.

During the decision-making process the owners of Swedish Tissue AB particularly focused on the aspects of security. The chemical dosing stations so far spread over the entire production site, will therefore be centralized at one place - and their control will thus be more effective.

Alltech was responsible for the entire planning and supply of the complete storage and dosing stations for the paper production and water treatment.

In this context, Alltech undertook the assembly planning, planning of the details as well as the production and commissioning of the 13 different chemical stations.

For the safe and more environment-friendly handling of IBCs, the Mother Tank - the latest development from Alltech - has been used.

The Mother Tank is a storage system for the safe handling of standard IBCs. The IBC will be placed with a fork lift truck on the top of the Mother Tank, and the contents will be transferred directly  into the tank.

The Integral Safety Bund protects the environment in case of spillage. Due to the larger capacity of the Mother Tank, a new IBC can be transferred into the tank as soon as there are 10 to 50% of chemicals left in the tank.

These technical features allow a continuing feeding of the dosing system and the time for the re-filling process does not need to be monitored exactly - a substantial advantage in flexibility.

For the dosing, the robust and reliable piston diaphragm pumps FKM were provided.

Depending on the dosing media (e.g. acid, alkaline or viscous substances), different materials and designs are used for dosing head, valves and dosing diaphragms.

To allow the easy and local handling, the pumps were equipped with the TRIGGOMAT C2 proportional controller.

The application of high quality materials and components guarantees safety and reliability in the paper production and for the protection of the environment and operating staff.
